Naser is an associate in our Dispute Resolution practice. He is qualified in both KSA and the UK and was a registered legal consultant in the UAE.

He has experience in handling a wide range of commercial disputes before the local courts, various arbitral institutions, and alternative dispute resolution processes.

Relevant experience includes advising:

  • Publicly listed Saudi companies on disputes arising from their acquisitions of other companies.
  • a multinational company on a tax dispute worth SAR 160 million and spanning 15 fiscal tax years, as well as representing the company before the Tax Dispute and Violation Committee.
  • a local airport operator during expert determination proceedings on the resolution of 12 separate claims related to the construction, operations, and maintenance of the airport.
  • local car distributors on claims involving alleged violations of Saudi competition laws.
  • a Saudi bank on the recoverability of amounts owed under sharia-compliant facility agreements.
  • a Saudi mega-project on disputes related to the set up of the project’s utilities.
  • Debtors on the insolvency options and remedies available under the Saudi Bankruptcy Law and the Saudi Companies Law.

Relevant experience prior to joining our firm includes:

  • Representing clients before the UK Courts and the UAE’s onshore and offshore Courts.
  • Representing clients in international arbitrations before various arbitral institutions.
  • Advising on potential disputes that are subject to KSA, UK, and UAE law.
  • Negotiating the settlement of disputes.
  • Advising clients on corporate governance and directors’ liability.
  • Advising clients on various maritime issues across UAE and KSA.
  • Working on the acquisition of a finance company by a Saudi bank, which includes preparing the legal due diligence, antitrust analysis and filing, and drafting the share purchase agreement.
  • Recovering an unpaid debt from an insolvent company via the use of a receiver appointment by the DIFC Court.
